Dec. 17, 2017
The first two rounds of the charity auctions which began during the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament in August, and the second round a few weeks ago, were both huge successes. We want to thank McLain Ward and Castle Hill Farm, aided by the Plaid Clothes Horse. We raised thousands of dollars for Omega Horse Rescue to help horses in desperate need. This time, our favorite dog rescue Danny & Ron’s Rescue will benefit from the auction.
In our third auction round, my horses Merlin and Lady Guinevere shamelessly modeled our coolers. I hope they were inspired!
The first cooler is the Washington International Horse Show $100,000.00 President’s Cup presented to McLain and Sapphire in 2008. McLain has won the President’s Cup four times and twice with Sapphire.
Also, we are offering McLain's 2006 Rolex/USEF National Jumper Championship cooler. Any bids will be accepted. The winning bids will be announced in time for Christmas.
With the holidays approaching, why not kill two birds with one stone? The winning bid takes home a historic prize and unique holiday gift for a loved one. In the spirit of giving help, support rescue Danny and Ron’s place a deserving dog this holiday. The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, also a nonprofit organization, was created as a labor of love to promote the highest levels of show jumping and offer a unique and gracious exhibitor experience. We are proud to collaborate with the Plaid Clothes Horse and the Danny & Ron’s Rescue on these critical efforts.
All the best and happy holidays from all of us at the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament.
Jeff Papows and Gwen.
