Prize List Now Online for Garden State Horse Show, Presented by the Junior Essex Troop

GLADSTONE, N.J. – Feb. 11, 2019 – The leadership of the Junior Essex Troop, producers of the Garden State Horse Show, announced that the 2019 prize list is now online. Horseshowing.com is now officially accepting online entries for hunter/jumper horse show scheduled for April 27-May 5 at its new home, Hamilton Farm, the U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation headquarters and former training grounds for the U.S. Equestrian Team.

Tucker Ericson took over the reins as manager in 2019. Ericson is co-owner of Monmouth at the Team, the 133-year-old competition, formerly the Monmouth County Horse Show, that successfully made the move to the Gladstone venue in 2016. ABOUT GARDEN STATE HORSE SHOW

The Garden State Horse Show was founded in 1951 by the Junior Essex Troop, a cadet auxiliary born out of the 102nd Cavalry – New Jersey National Guard Essex Troop, to teach young men ages 11-18 cavalry-style horsemanship. In 1983 the Junior Essex Troop became coed. Though the Troop ceased daily operations in 1989, the organization continues its mission to foster education and horsemanship by supporting to youth organizations, collegiate equine programs, scholarships and animal rescue.

New Jersey’s Hamilton Farm, home to the USET Foundation and former training facility for the U.S. Equestrian Team, is the country’s most important historic equestrian venue. U.S. Once New Jersey’s largest and most important equestrian event, The Garden State Horse Show is a spring tradition led by the Junior Essex Troop, an organization that maintains a tradition of American military horsemanship.
