Hi Everyone,

It's been an unprecedented time! I really missed seeing everyone for the 2020 post season. I have received many cards and letters from graduates and alumni. I wanted to share some thoughts from a retirement card I got from Gayle Frank, an alumni from Miami University who rode with Kenny Copenhaver in the 80s.

"Thanks for shaping the best horse show culture there is in which everyone roots for each other. Thanks for IHSA being an outstanding model of accessibility and inclusion, not to mention merit and equality. IHSA is more inclusive with every new wave of riders each year–students of different nationalities and more students of color are participating.

It is interesting to see that IHSA was founded during a period of tumult in this country and riders of all backgrounds, geographic origins and socioeconomic levels respected and admired each other. What a legacy!

Our country is in tumult again– a shame that everyone hasn't been able to accomplish getting along as we all did and do in the IHSA."

Thanks so much for this, Gayle! These are challenging times but we have much to be grateful for.

One last word - make sure to VOTE!

Best,
Bob Cacchione
IHSA Founder Emeritus
