Myakka City, Fla. – Feb. 25, 2023 – The TerraNova Hunter/Jumper Week 2 $77,300 FEI 2* 1.45m Grand Prix had a very competitive field of 39 to contest the Manuel Esparza-designed track. In the star-studded field of top-ranked international and Olympic riders, Kent Farrington and his newest mount, Dagny, led the victory gallop.

Myakka City, Fla. – Feb. 24, 2023 – Samuel Parot and Captain Z bested the field of 41 to win the $10,000 FEI 1.40m Welcome Speed during TerraNova Hunter/Jumper Week 2. Entries for the speed class included elite riders from nine countries, such as Kent Farrington (USA), Taylor St. Jacques (CAN), Cian O’Connor (IRL) and more.

Myakka City, Fla. – Feb. 18, 2023 – Athletes representing 11 countries, including six Olympians, competed in the TerraNova Hunter/Jumper 1 feature class, the $77,300 FEI CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix. Bernardo Costa Cabral, an FEI Level 4 Course Designer from Lisbon, Portugal, designed the tracks contested by 33 horses and riders. In April, Cabral will design the courses for the FEI World Cup™ Finals Omaha 2023.

Myakka City, Fla. – Feb. 17, 2023 – TerraNova Hunter/Jumper Week 1 international competition kicked off with the FEI jog with all 36 horses presented to the ground jury passing inspection. The day's feature class, the $10,000 FEI 1.40m Welcome Speed, was designed by Bernardo Costa Cabral, an FEI Level 4 Course Designer from Lisbon, Portugal. Cabral has designed courses for the $350,000 HITS Thermal CSI5* Grand Prix, Royal Windsor Horse Show CSI 5*, National Championships of Chile, Split Rock Jumping Tour and many other CSI5*, 4* and 3* courses in over nine countries. In April, he will design the courses for the FEI World Cup™ Finals Omaha 2023.

Myakka City, Fla. – Jan. 29, 2023 – The Lugano Diamonds Split Rock Jumping Tour (SRJT) concluded Split Rock Sarasota CSI2* with its inaugural $300,000 Split Rock Championship series in the Grand Prix Arena at TerraNova Equestrian Center. Nearly 140 entries contested the championships, with awards at heights of 1.35m, 1.25m and 1.15m going to Alex Granato, Caelinn Leahy and Aaron Vale, respectively.

Myakka City, Fla. – Jan. 28, 2023 – Split Rock Sarasota CSI2*, hosted by TerraNova Equestrian Center, presented the featured $100,000 Lugano Diamonds 1.45m Grand Prix CSI2* with an impressive field of 48 athletes representing 15 countries. In the end, it was Olympian Samuel Parot (CHI) who secured a one-two finish with his own Buga Z (Chester Z x Quality Queen Z - Quality Touch Z) and Captain Z (Calvino Z x Unette – Voltaire). The third spot went to Caroline Mawhinney (USA) and her own Dance du Buisson Z (Dutch Capitol x Fantasy Du Buisson Z - Favoritas xx).

Myakka City, Fla. – Jan. 27, 2023 – TerraNova Equestrian Center and Events at TerraNova welcomed the Split Rock Jumping Tour (SRJT) to its expansive facility for the second year to host the Split Rock Sarasota CSI2* and the $300,000 Split Rock Championship series. Competitors include athletes representing 16 countries, including five Olympians. FEI competition took center stage Thursday, featuring the $38,700 BetHorseSports.com 1.45m Welcome with 47 competitors vying for the win. Ultimately, it was Olympian Daniel Bluman (ISR) who proved unbeatable taking the top-two spots with Cachemire de Braize and Ubiluc, respectively.

A beautiful but brisk day set the scene for the Sarasota Winter Classic, hosted at TerraNova Equestrian Center. The day's feature class was the $50,000 Grand Prix of Sarasota. Spectators gathered in the TerraNova Pavilion for a Grand Prix Brunch. An even 20 top horse-and-rider combinations took to the track, set by Mauricio Garcia (PUR), but it was Ocala resident Kristen VanderVeen and Bull Run's Jireh who earned the victory gallop. 

Sarasota Winter Classic’s derby day developed into a sunny, breezy day by the time the shadbelly-clad riders walked the first course. Friday competition featured the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, the $500 Outreach Derby 2’6” and the highly-anticipated $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby as the highlight of the day. Exhibitors and spectators enjoyed a pizza party in the TerraNova pavilion and cheered on the contestants.

The Sarasota Winter Classic Week II kicked off a weekend of exciting international competition at the impressive TerraNova Equestrian Center. For the feature class, the $10,000 Welcome Stake, 11 horse-and-rider combinations contested Mauricio Garcia's (PUR) track. Proving that their victory during Week I wasn't just good luck, Rolling Acres Farm's Marylisa Leffler dominated again aboard her longtime successful partner, ZaZa Z.

The featured class of the first week of the 2023 Sarasota Winter Classic, the $50,000 Grand Prix of Sarasota, was highly anticipated. The inaugural grand prix kicked off at 11 a.m. with spectators invited to view from a variety of lounge seating, purchase gourmet beverages at an open bar, or enjoy a full VIP experience complete with a deluxe catered brunch. Scott Keach (AUS) and Wild Thing (Caraca x Wild Oats) wowed the crowd and stood atop of the podium. 

The Rolling Acres’ pairing of Marylisa Leffler and Zaza Z would prove impossible to beat in Thursday’s Sarasota Winter Classic $10,000 Welcome Stake hosted at TerraNova Equestrian Center. In its first year of operations at the world-class TerraNova Equestrian Center, the newly-renamed Sarasota Winter Classic kicked off competition this week and the show’s top jumper riders readied their mounts for the inaugural Welcome Stake Thursday afternoon.
